About Me

My name is Daisy Fish and I am the owner of FISH Athletic Performance Training! I have been surrounded by athletics and training most of my life. I grew up in England competing for my local swimming club and continued that passion upon moving to the United States. In my middle school and high school years I discovered water polo and was drawn into the world of competitive sports and life as a student-athlete. Through hard work and a love of my sport I was recruited to play Division I water polo for Loyola Marymount University. I spent the next 4 years training for hours, both in the pool and in the weight room. I struggled through multiple shoulder injuries and repetitive overuse injuries throughout college but managed to stay healthy and make my way to the international stage. I became a member of the British National Women’s Water Polo team during my sophomore year of college and played for the next three years. I was selected for the 2012 Olympic Squad but had aspirations of earning my doctorate in physical therapy.

In the fall of 2012 I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mount St Mary’s College and began working as a Sports Physical Therapists in San Francisco’s Bay Area. Over the next 5 years I worked with athletes of all skill levels, age groups, and sports and devoted my knowledge and expertise to rehabilitating people back to their passion! During this time I was fortunate to work with the Air Force National Guard Rescue Wing at Moffett Field. I worked one on one with injured servicemen and women, and assisted in team training on base. Having the opportunity to work closely with members of our military was very rewarding and has given me a drive to help veterans find a community in the world of outdoor recreation.

While working with the military I developed a new friendship with a certified climbing guide who quickly became my mentor for the sport. I had discovered rock climbing during physical therapy school as a way to stay in shape and clear my mind, but would now be introduced to climbing in a whole new way. On my first outdoor climbing trip I met my new friend in Sequoia National Forest and was promptly given an in-depth course in safety and equipment. The next morning I began my first outdoor climb, an easy multi-pitch trad route that ended with a great view and a new found passion for rock climbing. I loved being able to push my limits both mentally and physically while enjoying the beauty of nature. I have continued to pursue climbing and outdoor adventures through the Southwestern U.S. while advancing my career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Three years ago I moved to the Pacific Northwest and have recently settled in Bremerton on the Kitsap Peninsula. I currently work at a Physical Therapy clinic in Bainbridge Island and enjoy rehabilitating our local athletes. Although I have a love for the rehab side of sports, becoming part of the climbing and outdoor community has opened my eyes to the many ‘non-traditional’ sports and the talented athletes who are pushing their boundaries. It is my hope that I can use my skills and experience to help any athlete find their ideal movement and continue towards achieving their goals.
