Optimize Movement.
Elevate Performance.
Welcome to FISH Athletic Performance Training! My name is Daisy Fish and as a doctor of physical therapy and strength and conditioning specialist I have dedicated my professional career to improving the performance of athletes and allowing them to return to the sports they love. After years of rehabilitating athletes in the clinic, I am now taking my skills and passion beyond the clinic doors to help outdoor athletes improve their performance and achieve their goals.
I believe that athletes from all sports should have the option of working with high level professionals to enhance their training and progress. Non-traditional athletes in sports such as rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking, don’t always have access to the resources that their more traditional counterparts do and often require more specialized training and skill development in order to advance to the next level. It is my goal to provide that access and work one-on-one with athletes so I can tailor training to their specific needs.
Why Choose Performance Training?
High level athletes of all sports have similarities when it comes to training, progression, and injury prevention; limitations in the way their bodies move can affect their ability to perform. These limitations can vary from decreased flexibility, difficulty engaging specific muscles, and poor movement mechanics which can result in overuse injuries and plateau in performance.
Finding help from certified personal trainers, coaches, and online forums has become more common and more available for athletes to help provide structure to their training programs and attempt to address these issues. However, despite all the available information and guidance from trainers, athletes can still suffer from repetitive injuries or slow in progression.
Through years of studying the musculoskeletal system and the relationship between movement and function I am able to help athletes from all sports recognize their limitations and streamline their training. Together we can identify and address small movement dysfunctions and restrictions that may be contributing to changes in performance and allow you to maximize the gains from your current workout program.
Due to recent health concerns from COVID-19 I have put in place new requirements to ensure the safety of all my training clients:
-
Client and trainer will wear a mask (cotton, blue surgical, N95) for the duration for the session unless >6 feet distance can be maintained and we are outside
-
Client and trainer will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer prior to starting each session
-
Client and trainer will wash their hands prior to starting each session
-
Client will utilize their own exercise equipment when possible
-
All equipment brought by the trainer will be sanitized after each use
-
Clients will complete a COVID-19 online questionnaire prior to each session
If you have any questions regarding my change in policy please feel free to email me at fishathleticpt@gmail.com
